Octoglass is a small technology company with limited resources. We focus on electrochromic technology development in our own R&D center. We have our own production base and manufacture glass using our technologies. Over years of development, our specialists have made substantial progress. Our technology portfolio includes several electrochromic approaches — some already commercialized — and we are developing the most advanced smart-glass technologies for electronic vehicle tinting, which will give us a significant advantage over other solutions already on the market or preparing to enter it. We never pause ongoing development and pay close attention to the intellectual property we build, both in the solutions themselves and in their manufacture.
In the second half of August, U.S. government authorities acknowledged our company’s technological advantage, saw Octoglass as a threat, and added the company to the sanctions list alongside companies such as the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), the Omsk Research Institute of Instrument Engineering, and MTS.RED.
Being placed on the sanctions list will not affect Octoglass operations. We work in a country subject to the largest number of sanctions in world history. One more sanction or one less no longer makes a practical difference. We continue working at the same pace — and for the recognition, a separate thank-you to U.S. officials.
