Octoglass presented electrochromic glass at the Moscow Transport Innovation Demo Day.
Innovative solutions for Moscow transport
On 17 July, Octoglass took part in an innovation demo day organized by the Moscow Transport Innovation Fund. The event brought together leading companies working to introduce advanced technologies into the capital’s transport infrastructure.
Octoglass was invited to present its flagship development — electrochromic glass that adjusts light transmission and improves passenger comfort in vehicles.
Strong interest from transport operators
The solution drew significant interest from several units of Moscow’s transport complex. In particular, attention to the technology came from:
- Verf — a company building electric vessels for Moscow’s water transport
- Mosgortrans — the surface urban transport operator that runs a fleet of KAMAZ electric buses
Prospects for cooperation
During the event, Octoglass representatives held substantive talks with both organizations. Discussions covered integrating electrochromic glass into vehicles operated by these city transport units.
Deploying the solution will help:
- Improve passenger comfort by adjusting cabin lighting levels
- Reduce the load on vehicle climate-control systems
- Improve the energy efficiency of electric transport
- Make journeys more comfortable at any time of day and in any weather
Participation in the innovation demo day confirms Octoglass’s standing as a leader in smart technologies for the transport sector and opens new opportunities to scale the company’s solutions across the Moscow region.
