Applications for smart-tinting glass based on an electrochromic polymer are extensive. It can be installed not only in cars, but on any means of transport where protection from bright sun and glare is required, without haze or optical distortion in building interiors and exteriors. Electrochromic glass can also be used for interior glazing — for example, to create switchable privacy zones when needed (security screening areas, cashier modules, meeting rooms, and similar spaces), as well as for design solutions such as room zoning. At the same time, electrochromic glass is safe to use thanks to low DC supply voltage, including in humid environments. At Octoglass, we worked for a long time to create quality architectural electrochromic glass — and we succeeded. The glass height is 2 meters, and it provides UV and IR protection.
