Testing spacers

Testing of FilMless EC glass spacers

FilmLess electrochromic Octoglass is thicker and heavier than the car’s original glazing. This raises questions regarding the durability of the used spacers and window lift mechanisms. For this purpose, we have been testing by cyclically raising and lowering the FilmLess glass using the standard windows. To pass the test successfully after 11,000 cycles, the glass must be free of damage, the lift mechanisms must be in good working order and capable of lowering and raising the glass, the spacers must be free of visible defects and the glass must remain firmly fixed in the spacers. The installation in the video has completed 11,000 cycles in 2.5 weeks and successfully completed the test.
