This end of November was marked by the release of a broadcast on the federal “Moscow 24” TV channel that was dedicated to “OctoGlass” electrochromic products and our recent collaboration with MetroMedia LLC – a smart window for public transportation (metro trains, trams, buses).
This smart window can adjust its transparency according to external insolation levels, as well as turn into a touchscreen at the user’s request. The electrochromic modules developed by OctoGlass serve as optical filters with adjustable transparency in the construction of these smart windows. They support maximum contrast when the window is converted to screen mode, and in window mode they provide the desired level of comfort transparency, both depending on the current external insolation level.
The broadcast also discusses our research into electrochromism and developed products for automotive, facade, and interior glazing applications.
You can watch it (so far only in Russian, unfortunately, but the video is fairly self-explanatory) here: https://www.m24.ru/shows1/179/747189
