The first electrochromic insulated unit manufactured by Octoglass is available for shipping to customers. Electrochromatic glass, as part of the double-glaze unit, allows you to adjust the solar radiation dynamically at the request of users. Thanks to its extended dynamic range, the double-pane windows can be darkened during the day in bright sunlight to reduce unpleasant glare from monitors and TV screens. In the evening, they can also be darkened, extending the natural light time. The neutral black color of the darkening glass maintains neutrality in room lighting, without shifting to the blue or red areas. An additional advantage of Octoglass’s solution is additional thermal insulation provided by several metallized glass layers that reflect infrared radiation. This means heat loss through the double glazing will be reduced in winter and you can avoid the swelter of summer.
